The West Virginia Scholar Program through WV Metro News is a competitive scholarship program that offers the winner four years of room, board, tuition, and fees at West Virginia Wesleyan College. The program is open to high school juniors across the state. Webster County is proud to have two students named in the top 15 finalists this year. Hayden Funk and Brynna Pyle from Webster County High School will compete for this prestigious award. The competition included an application and essay, and then the finalists were called to Charleston, WV for an interview. Voting is now open at www.wvscholar.com/vote.cfm, so please support these wonderful ladies. The winner will be announced at WVWC on June 18th. Congratulations, ladies!
